ROCK LEGEND NEIL YOUNG SUPPORTS FORTHCOMING 3KSTATIC SINGLE AS 'SONG OF THE TIMES'

NEW YORK, NY - Protest rock legend Neil Young has expressed support for the forthcoming 3kStatic single 'Groove at the Point of a Breakdown, Part 2 (featuring Professor Griff and Kasuf & The Mazz Muvement) by selecting the track for inclusion on the 'Song of The Times' on the Neil Young official website at www.NeilYoung.com.

Featuring original lyrics and vocals by hip-hop legend Professor Griff (Public Enemy) plus instrumentation by Kasuf and The Mazz Muvement (Kerwin Young of Bomb Squad and producer of many Public Enemy releases), 'Groove at the Point of a Breakdown, Pt. 2' is the second 3kStatic release to be included on Young's 'Songs of The Times'.

Curating a collection of protest music from a wide range of known and emerging artists, Living With War Today was originally launched in support of the Neil Young album Living With War and previously featured the 3kStatic single 'Old News (Endless Static)' from the album Where's Our Piece of the Groovy World?.

That album was also a candidate in the 'Electronic/Dance Album' for the 50th Grammy® Awards, and in addition to featuring music from that release, Living With War Today also supported live dates for 3kStatic live dates in 2007.

In addition to the forthcoming 3kStatic single, 'Songs of The Times' currently features music from Eric Clapton; J.J. Cale; Bad Religion and many more.

'Groove at the Point of a Breakdown, Pt. 2' is released July 15, 2008 on the dPulse Recordings label, available in digital formats via INgrooves/Universal Music Group. The original version also appears on the dPulse/Cargo Records Germany album Voodoo Science.

The digital single also features artwork from renowned artist Victor-Hugo Vaca II, whose own often controversial works focus on matters of social activism. Vaca is founder of the Modern Art Music Movement, an assembly of artists of all medium united to promote change and peace through their work.

Founded in 1999, 3kStatic is an electronic music collective heavily influenced by the post-punk angst and sonic fury of early electronica innovators Cabaret Voltaire, Meat Beat Manifesto and their contemporaries.
